Street Drama – Spellbound: Toymaker & Son

The drama Toymaker & Son was first presented by a group of students in England in 1978 (see Toymaker & Son history). A few years later, it was adapted for YWAM street ministry (see The Masterpiece – an adaptation of Toymaker & Son).

Here's an article
about the original Toymaker & Son drama, from the Schenectady Gazette in New York, printed June 27, 1987.

The CrossWave team performs Spellbound on the streets of Lima, Peru to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that is spiritually meaningful and easy to understand. Everyone on the team is involved in the 20 minute drama, which is narrated in Spanish. The colorful costumes, make-up, and props help to vividly portray the message of the Gospel to all ages!

Last summer in Lima, the team performed Spellbound several times a day. A large group of children at a local school got to hear the Good News at one of those performances:

Thanks to Bill for providing the picture from the 2009 trip.
